Update ATM Endpoint after E86.10

Hello everyone,

we have always automatically updated our endpoint security clients via our gateways.
Since version E86.20, however, this no longer works.

Update from E86.10 to E86.40 --> works
Update from E86.20 to E86.40 --> does not work
Update from E86.30 to E86.40 --> does not work

In the process I can see that the message "Checking if a client update is available" appears. But nothing happens.

Checkpoint Support failed because of this. Now I hope for the community here 🙂

Hi Chris, 

After looking at your support case, it seems that you have a situation with an unsupported configuration and that you had a workaround to move forward. Is that understanding correct, or you are still struggling? If former, why you are saying that support failed you?

Hi Val,

first of all, yes we are still struggling with the problem.
We have two clusters with which we open SecureClient connections. One cluster in version R80.20 and the other has R80.40.
The short solution of the support was:

Apparently the current versions (R80.XX and above) will only have a CSHELL portal for IPSec if "SSL Network Extender" option or "Mobile devices" option are enabled in the 'VPN Client' tab.

But we have on both R80.XX and above. To be honest, at this point we gave up.

I may suggest we open a new ticket on this once I know you can follow. However, I won't be in the office next week.

@Chriz thank you for your feedback. From what I see in the support logs, you have requested to close the support case. 

 

When you say "But we have on both R80.XX and above. To be honest, at this point we gave up", what do you mean? SNX and Mobile portal options are enabled in your environment, si the response was irrelevant, and you gave up?

Or something else? If you need this to be resolved, I would suggest reopening the support case, to save time.
