URL filtering by category not updapted

Hi all,

I'm not sure if it's an issue or something i need to process with Harmony Endpoint configuration.

The access of a legit website was not allowed because in a wrong site category ("gambling") instead of "Business".

The website was blocked by the Endpoint Security because URL filtering policy is applied on Gambling website.

I asked  Checkpoint with https://urlcat.checkpoint.com/ to update the category of the website. It is already done.

Now it has been moved from former category "Gambling" to current category "Business".

But still, Harmony Endpoint on my computers company block the access of the website because it's still detected as "Gambling" website. Its like the website database is not update for my tenant.

I finally got a response from Check Point support. As we know Websites can be associated with two categories. by asking to change category (from gambling to business), they left gambling and added the business category to the second category slot so it was still blocking. They removed the website from the gambling category and all is good.

What is the website? I would like to test it in my lab and see if I get same issue.

The URL is http://apache-om-64.myengie.fr which redirect to https://particuliers.engie.fr/

http://apache-om-64.myengie.fr is now in the 'business' website category in the Checkpoint URL categorization database. That mean it should be OK for a Harmony Cloud Tenant or a Endpoint up to date.

I found a temporary solution: i have to change randomely setting in the URL Filtering's categories like this:

After an installation of the policy, It's like the url database is reloaded. The website is no more blocked and in the correcte category.

Is there a better way to force update?

Regards,

Alex

Tested it, works fine for me, even though I have gambling blocked. Yes, you are correct that category shows "business/economy".

Hi there,

I had this a few times. Today again.

it was about a website called www.consorziohoreca.it which was category "Email" (blocked) and got recategorized around midnight to "Business / Economy" .

But still I receive the blockpage telling me it iscategory Email. App and UrlFiltering is updated every 2 hours and is successful. I also installed policy since then but its still blocked.

MGMT: R81.10 Take 79
GW: R81.10 Take 61

How can I force that URLcat update? Last time I recategorized it took about 3 days to be accessable...

How should the right process be here? Has it something to do which cache? I tested another browser and computer.

Thanks and Best

Markus
