Hi All,
One of our customers is using the managed Endpoint clients using the Remote Access and Compliancy feature only.
The VPN is created succesfully and users can access internal resources. And with compliancy using the domain registry key, only company computers can access the VPN site.
We have configured Location Awarness using the access to Active Directory to check if a client is internal. This seems to work.
But when the user is working remotely, he gets the following message in Endpoint:
"No VPN Connection is needed: The site's resource are already available"
Laptops are not in standby or hibernated. The start by a power on.
Windows 10 or Windows 11 does not make any difference.
What could be the cause of this message? Why does the client 'thinks' he is internal. The AD servers can not be reached.
Thanks for the help.
Regards,
Martijn
Never heard about such an issue - i would suggest to contact TAC to resolve it!
Does it happen for all remote users or some, is their LAN IP within a subnet that overlaps with the remote encryption domain?
Please engage with TAC to diagnose further...
Chris,
Only users who have been to the office (and connected their laptop to the internal network) have this problem.
It can be solved by restarting the laptop.
Customer is testing with the caching feature of location awareness to see if this make a difference.
If this does not help, I will contact TAC.
Regards,
Martijn
