OS locks up after FDE installation

Greetings !

I have recently deployed FDE on my endpoints.

I use same rule/policy for all FDE clients with great success.

However - certain models among my clients encounters issues when rebooting after encryption - "Loading OS" - then comes to a halt.
I can rule out TPM issues - since i have successfully encrypted Virtual machines  - while testing policies for dialog and timing.

These seems to have the issue.

Dell Latitude 5270 *

Dell Optiplex 7040 *

Dell Latitude 5470 *

Dell Latitude 7240 *

However - i have several older Dell models (for eksampel E5530 / E5440 ... ) which encrypts with no issues.

Any ideas as to how to proceed  - i need to encrypt all my clients - but would rather not be forced to switch all of the above PC's for new ones just yet.

Kind regards

Peter

@Peter_Bjeldbak

Please make sure that all of the Dell machines you are installing FDE on have the latest BIOS updates. And what is the main drive in the systems formatted as, AHCI or IRRT?

If you have further issues after all the suggestions posted here thus far, I would highly recommend opening a SR with TAC (endpoint team in TAC).

Try disabling Fast boot/Quick boot in the bios settings.

Seems like you might have struck home - after setting AHCI instead of IRRT (raid) - it seems to behave better - i will do more tests and report.

kind regards

The shift from IRRT/Raid to  AHCI did the trick - thank you for the suggestion.
