Install Checkpoint Anti-Malware Database Signature E1 Engine

Hello,

the update process takes a long time when the Malware-Database Engine is updated for the first time.
It is probably due to the non-installed Anti-Malware signature update service on the SmartEndpoint Server.
Do I have to pay attention to something special when downloading and installing the engine?

Thanks

No - remember: E1 is from Kaspersky (old CP AM) and on purpose disabled by default  ! All Endpoints have the last update, so all is working. E2 is very good, so leave E1 off...

good to know thanks.
would depositing a supernode possibly help? I read in a post that the download speed for the first update is throttled to 1 Mbit. Concerns kav8.zonealarm.com.
According to the set policy, however, the client should first query the internal SmartEndpoint server.

No, the post does not concern you, kav is what you do not use ! Supernode could help much if the download speed is very slow.
