Hi,

Check Point Harmony Endpoint Security Client E89.00 for Windows is now available as GA (General Availability).

Main Enhancements:

  • With this release, additional performance improvements are introduced, across various blades.
  • Stop \ Start Self Protection by Push Operation with this new Push Operation you can stop Self Protection directly from the portal with a specified timeout.
  • Introducing Static Signature engine- with this release, a new Static Signature engine was introduced as part of File Protection engines. The engine adds additional signature enforcement capabilities based on Check Point research discoveries.
  • When uninstalling the Anti-Malware blade, reboot is no longer required.

Please see sk182722 for the complete list of enhancements and resolved issues in this release.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

The recommended version E88.72 already has some performance improvements.

The main problems I see on a daily basis with Harmony are two:

1- The issue of blade performance when we execute the diagnostic push operation and how to understand the result

2- The possibility of stopping the blade via the portal to be able to do some analysis on performance

Can this new version do this functionality?

Either way, you will have to submit the diagnostics to TAC if there is an issue you can't resolve on your own.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way to simply "disable a blade" short of assigning the relevant machine a different profile.

Just add another policy (Deployment policy -> Software deployment) where the desired blades are disabled. And then just move the desired computer(s) inside to do some analysis. This definatly the fastest way.
