I’m trying to understand how endpoint management works in relation to agent removal. Specifically, if the endpoint client agent is manually uninstalled from a device, will it automatically be removed from the management server as well, or will I need to manually delete its entry from the server? Any insights or experiences with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
No - please find the suggested client uninstall procedure here: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/HarmonyEndpoint/Harmony_Endpoint_Security_for_Windows_MDM_Deplo...
I cant say for sure if its the same in the new versions, but couple of years ago when customer did that (manually uninstalled it from the PC), we still had to remove it afterwards from the mgmt server.
Andy
Do you have relevant links, articles, or official documentation that clarify this process? Thank you in advance for your help!
I do not, sorry.
Andy
which process are you talking of ?
No - please find the suggested client uninstall procedure here: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/HarmonyEndpoint/Harmony_Endpoint_Security_for_Windows_MDM_Deplo...
Hello Albrecht,
After reviewing the link you shared, I found the information useful. However, I would like to know where I can customize this time period from 30 days to a longer or shorter duration than this.
Yes, that is possible - should be documented somewhere, or you can ask CP...
Let me see where that setting would be, Im pretty sure its somewhere in the portal. Is this on prem or cloud management?
Andy
I could not find anything in the portal - EP Dashboard may be able to change it, but looks like only CP can assist here. In config files you can change it yourself (if you know where) but in portal only CP can set special parameters...
@vatta_khun I would have to agree with @G_W_Albrecht , just contact TAC and ask them if its possible to change default value of 30 days. I cant find it anywhere in the portal.
Andy
This answer is provided by Infinity AI Copilot and should be confirmed by reviewing official documentation in Support Center.
When you manually uninstall the endpoint client agent from a device, it does not automatically remove the client information from the Endpoint Management Server. The system is configured to delete the client information from the server after a default period of 30 days. Therefore, if you need the entry removed sooner, you will have to manually delete it from the management server.
For more detailed information, you can refer to the Harmony Endpoint Administration Guide. If you have any further questions or need assistance with the process, feel free to ask!
On Premise, that is where mine is located....standalone Endpoint management server...not cloud based.

On Gaia OS:
$UEPMDIR/engine/conf/local.properties
Change the value of the emon.purge.max.days attribute to the desired number of days:
from:
emon.purge.max.days=30
to:
emon.purge.max.days=NUMBER_OF_DAYS
I hope it helps...
