Maestro Madness
I am evaluating the combination of Harmony Endpoint+Posture Management as an alternative to using an RMM to manage customer endpoints. I see from the original announcement last year that it patched only Windows and Mac devices. Is there a product update that allows it to patch Linux devices (desktops and servers)?
Also does 'endpoint' refer to just desktops and laptops or also physical and virtual/cloud servers? Only the joint press release with Ivanti made a mention of "...remediate software vulnerabilities from cloud to edge", but nowhere else.
Thanks in advance.
In general, Harmony Endpoint can run on servers (both physical and virtual).
At current, Linux is not a supported target for the Posture Management features of Harmony Endpoint.
@BarYassure can comment if it's in the plans or not.

Thank you for the clarification. Will wait for @BarYassure's inputs.
Hi
True, currently we support Windows & Mac.
Linux is in our plans hor H2 2025.
Thanks for the confirmation, @BarYassure
It's a disappointment for the short term as I will have to use other tools to manage the Linux endpoints.
I don't know the details of the roadmap and am only just setting up the HEP trial with my account manager, but seems there's a real opportunity here for Checkpoint to help customers replace multiple tools like Asset Management (hardware and software), Warranty Info, standard RMM software etc. by extending the capabilities of Harmony Endpoint with Posture Management. For example, with such extended capabilities, it could easily replace what ConnectSecure offers today.
I am sure you're aware that MSPs are abandonding traditional RMM tools in favour of unified cybersec platforms, as much to avoid the security vulnerabilities of RMMs as to avoid tool sprawl (one needs to integrate with many external tools to get full functionality). As a new Checkpoint partner, I sincerely hope HEP will also evolve in that direction.
Yes, I completely agree, for the next 6 months we have decided to add more important capabilities to our Linux client, but we definitely plan to add the posture management capabilities in 2025.
