Can a 4 seat VSEC license be split across 2 gateways
Hi all, I have a clustered gateway on ESXi hosts and each gateway has 4 cores licensed with 4 seat VSEC licenses
I'm looking to add an extra 2 cores to each gateway so the question is can I use a spare 4 core VSEC license I have and split it across the 2 gateways or do they need to have their own separate VSEC licenses?
Many thanks

As I recall, VSEC licenses entitle you to a specific number of cores, but those cores can be distributed across many VMs so long as the total count of cores doesn't exceed what you're licensed for, it should work.
Licenses should be additive, but knowing the exact SKUs involved would help confirm this.

Personally, to be 100% sure, I would double check with Account services team.

The licenses when used with the vsec license utility act as a pool that can be distributed on a needs basis.
Provided the licenses are the same type i.e. NGTX vs NGTP this should work.
