set domain servers.remove <name>

hi

any idea why this command wouldn't work?

#mgmt_cli -r true set domain servers.remove <name>

for some reason I'm unable to delete the CLM (DLS) from the CMA as well as on the MDS struggling to get a rid of one in order to re-creater it. stuck with some auth errors etc.

any tips?

Any idea why you posted it here in wake of the dreaded R80.20.M1 Multi-Domain Security Management AdminGuide ? Maybe Dev API / CLI Corner to post this on its own ?

sorry yes, you right, my apologise, I just replied to the same topic as it affects not the M1 but overall R81.20 where about CLM was build on R81.10 but its MDS runs already R81.20.

Hi Jerry, Yes we saw similar issues in R81.10 , the issue was resolved in R81.20 Take 26 i believe

it wasn't I supposed, I was referring to the situation when CLM/DLS was build before MDS upgrade to R81.20 but now when MDS runs R81.20 and CLM is still under R81.10 this CLM cannot be re-created nor removed by cli or smartconsole.

any idea chaps?

Hi Jerry,

From what you write I understand that the MDS is on version R81.20 and the MLM where your DLS resides is on version R81.10.

In order to be able to synchronize changes in the database between different servers in a MDSM farm all servers need to run the same version, I do believe that is your problem.

You have two options.

  1. Upgrade the MLM to the same version as the MDS in the MDSM farm. Then you should be able to delete the DLS in the MLM.
  2. powerdown and reinstall the MLM (if you still need a MLM) while the MLM is powered down you are able to delete it from the Multi Domain View in SmartConsole, then you will be able to delete all corresponding DLS in the different domains
