Can we go from R77.30 NGSE standalone event server (R77) to R80 on a Smart-1 210


we have Smart-1 210 NGSE. We want upgrade from 77.30 to R80. Can we do same??

If I remember correctly; the upgrade path is to export, fresh install, and import.

A review of the r80 release notes confirms this.

That being said, I've seen comments elsewhere that the older Smart-1 appliances may become CPU/memory constrained running r80.

For just SmartEvent it will probably work since the Smart-1 210 has 8GB of RAM, but performance will definitely not be spectacular since it only has 2 cores.  4 cores is recommended.
