How to remove IDC configuration?

Hello,

How do you correctly de-configure IDC?

1. I removed gateway from IDC

2. Go to gateway properties ->  Identity Awareness -> identity collector and remove IDC config; Push policy

Execute "pdp conn idc" on the gateway and it still remembers IDC! Obviously no events being received, but how do you properly remove them? Also "pdp idc status" still lists them too.

I assume people will start stumble on this once windows migrations will kick in and you'll need to move IDC to new servers.

Edit: GW R80.40 JFH156

I can confirm that after couple of minutes, since the IDC doesn't communicate with the GW and you already pushed the changes and removed Collector as you stated, you will no longer see them in pdp monitor "pdp idc status" .

At least this is what we've seen in our environment.

I had that issue in lab few months ago and had to remove all references from guidbedit as well to make it work.

Do you know if this is better nowadays?  We are using R81.20 and about to take one of the sites down that has Identity Awareness configured to work with other sites.

Ideally we would just need to remove the setting in The Identity Awareness tab under the gateway (Identity Collector settings), and then remove the checkbox for Idenity Awareness in general properties of the gateway.  I really don't want to have to go trudging through guidbedit as that does not sound like a supported thing to do with this.
