Snapshot vs Backup - on a 4200, what's the primary difference between these two methods of backing up the box? I have a locally managed box and I see the backup object for either option is huge; approx 26 Gb. I assume this object contains logging detail. Is there a method to just backup system configuration and rules/policy data?
I would suggest to study sk108902 Best Practices - Backup on Gaia OS - here you find all possible Backup procedures explained and compared.
If you just want to backup the object/rule data, you should use the migrate export utility.
Search Support Center for "Migration Tools" to download the correct version.
