Smartcloud-1 Spark 1575

I have a question regarding SmartCloud. My client recently updated their Spark device to version R82. When I try to install the policies,

I notice that version R82 isn't available for selection; this is because the device was originally configured as a 1570/1590 model.

My question is: if I switch to the correct appliance model (1575) with the corresponding R82 policy package, will I encounter any issues or lose the SIC connection? Will the change be seamless? Incidentally, upon checking, I found that all the Spark devices were registered as 1570/1590 models.

1570/1590 models do not support R82, which is why SmartConsole does not allow you to choose it.
Changing the model to a 1575 allows R82 to be selected.
None of this should affect SIC when you do it.

Thank you very much for clarifying my question.

On one occasion, I had to change the interface of a cloud-managed device and lost SIC communication. That made me wonder whether something similar could happen in this case.

Maybe the MaaS tunnel interface was accidentally modified during your changes?
