- SMB are Small Business Appliances that are either locally or centrally managed (second method uses a CP SMS)

- SMP is the Security Management Portal (SMP), a web-based user interface that enables managed service providers to manage up to 10,000 Check Point Small Business appliances. This is not available as an appliance (like a Smart-1000), but either as a Cloud-Based Service or for on-premise deployment as a SW installation package for Windows 2008, Windows 2008 R2, Windows 2012 and Windows 2012 R2 server 64-bit.
