Email Notification in Checkpoint 1530 - GAIA R81.10

Hi,

We are having Checkpoint 1530 Appliance with Quantum Spark and GAIA R81.10

It has multiple Internet connections and Need to send an email if one of the internet connection is down.

Tried searching in the community forum but all we get is based on VM appliance and older versions that has different WebUI and GAIA.

Our UI is similar to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Qh06J9ejBE

Thank You.

Hi,

When High Availability (HA) is configured and two internet connections are in use, in the event of one of the internet connections becoming unavailable, it is possible to receive a notification.

To achieve this, in the WebUI go to 'Logs and Monitoring' > Notification > Setting > Enable the checkboxes labeled 'Primary Internet is down' and 'Primary Internet restored'.

Notifications are directed to the email platform exclusively when the severity of the notification is classified as a 'Security Alert.' In this particular case, the severity of the notification is categorized as an 'Informative Event.' Consequently, notifications of this type will be delivered to mobile devices but not sent to email addresses.

You will only get an email when Primary Internet is restored.

Quantum Spark 1530 appliance should run Embedded GAiA R81.10.08 Build 996001608. As @Noa_Alon wrote, you can get a push notice when primary ISP is down. If you want to monitor more ISP connections, you will have to use e.g. scripts that are pinging different hosts for each ISP and send an email if one is down running on an internal host.
