1570R Cellular Connection Failing

Hello All, I'm pretty new to Checkpoint and networking in general. I mainly deal with process automation and controls.

I've got a 1570R that is dropping cellular connection just as soon as its says its connected. As soon as it states there's a connection made it shows a 100% packet loss and then gives the error "no internet access (probing failed)". Just to note, this router was working fine back in the office but now having issues a few states away and inside of a plant.

I've double checked that my SIM is activated and the signal strength is usually around -83dbm.

It is running R81.x (Can update the full version once I'm back onsite).

The 1570R is din rail mounted in an enclosure but the antenna is externally mounted.

Where do I begin to troubleshoot this? Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks

I would suggest to involve CP TAC to get this resolved !

Is TAC their support group? I will definitely put in a ticket.

Some troubleshooting guidance is provided here, but don't hesitate to engage TAC.

Hi

Adding that Externally Mounted Antennas are not officially supported.

We can try to help, but not sure what type are you using, what is the distance, etc..

also, -83dbm sound like bad reception. worth looking into it

Thanks
