sklnctl export show possibility to export "logs" but no documentation

Hello,

running R81.20 + JumboHFA Take 99 and found this in sklnctl:

sklnctl export --set "$(cat payload.json)" [logs|metrics]

It looks like it is possible to export logs but I can not find any documentation about it.

- which logs?

- how to configure the destination for logs?

Would be great to export the content of custom files via otlp. It is not just /var/log/messages but other logs like pdpd.elg or cloud_proxy.elg and others which are not send by syslog.

As far as I know, we do not support streaming logs by OpenTelemetry.
Possible this may be supported in the future (thus possibly why it’s showing as an option).

Got feedback:

Question #1
Skyline command shows in its cli help that there seems to be a possibility to send logs via otlp. How can I send these logs and which logs are sent?
***Logs are not supported, it is internal and cannot be used officially.

Would be happy to see someone posting the "inofficial way" to send logs via otlp 😉
