/var/log manager

If I have a hard disk or raid for /var/log at the firewall manager and I lose it and replace it and rebuild the raid. Is there a process to set up  the /var/log file system for the gaia perspective? 

Just thinking of setting up raid1 for the system and raid5 for the logs.

You will have to do a fresh install and import the migrate export file from the old installation. I would suggest a SMS VM together with a good backup solution - raid 1 is mirroring only, so any SMS file system corruption will be simply mirrored...

Yeah absolutely, if the system drive fails you need to do a fresh install. But I was hoping you could build /dev/mapper/vg_splat-lv_log -  /var/log if only the log drive fails
