Using IdP ins SSL VPN

I am configuring an SSL VPN and would like to use IdP as Authentication/Source of User, but in the R82 Release notes, SAML is not supported in SSL VPN. Can I still use IdP as my auth/source of user? Will this still work, but with limit of SSO? or do I need to use a Radius server for this? I also would like to add MFA.
