Testing primary and secondary bond interfaces

Hi All,

I wondering if someone is able to assist with a test I would like to perform.  I have a bond with 2 interfaces, 1x 10Gb primary and 1x 1Gb secondary.  For some reason traffic seems to be active on the the 1Gb link even though it is not set to primary.  I would like to test the connection with some pings using the primary 10Gb link.  Is there a way for me to ping from the source interface?  I can only find a way to ping using source IP in expert mode.  The only other option I can think of is driving to the datacentre and unplugging the 1Gb link and then testing. (Eth3-03 is the 10Gb link) Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!

I'm not sure offhand how to force an active-backup bond to switch which member it's using. The surest way is probably to disable the 1g link. 'set interface eth1-08 state off', then 'set interface eth1-08 state on' should do it. This could disrupt traffic.

What direction is the traffic and what is the neighbor/adjacent device configuration?
