R82 GAiA command in job scheduler not accept any changes

Hi community,

R82 open server SMS, after CPUSE In-place upgraded from R81.10

VMware ESXi

I had job scheduler entry back in R81.10, and after upgrade I replaced shell file.

When I try to change Command to Run according to the replaced file, it 'looks' success, as GAiA Portal says Save successful, but it actually does not accept the change.

Reopen an edit window of the entry, and show configuration shows the previous command line.

Do you reckon this is expected behaviour, or find it problematic?

Note:

R82 open server SMS, after CPUSE In-place upgraded from R81.20 does not experience this behaviour.

Therefore I am suspicious of the support for direct in-place upgrade path (from R81.10 to R82).

644? It should be e.g. 744 to be executable, shouldn't it?

-rwxr-xr-x 1 admin root 51 Apr 16 16:12 test.sh

Just created this as a simple test to add a timestamp into a text file and it works using

add cron job lala command "/home/lala/test.sh" recurrence interval minutes 01
and now to something completely different - CCVS, CCAS, CCTE, CCCS, CCSM elite

Exactly my point, it seems the execution permissions are missing

that was typo, the script file has 744 permission, admin:root.

a coworker of mine also confirms this, so he opened TAC ticket.

I will update info if anything found new.

  • Check
    /var/log/messagesand/var/log/CPupgrade/

for errors during the upgrade and when saving Job Scheduler entries.

  • Verify that the Gaia database is not in a read-only state or otherwise corrupted.
