Hi everbody,

we have a problem: I am installing R80.40 Gateway) on a Dell R740 open server. The installation process proceed more than one and a half hour. ( Not First Time Wizzard).

I tried it with a Boot Stick or with booting from the internal Network.

We disabeld HT for testing but without success.

I opend a Chat with TAC but they didn´t known this issue.

Have anyone a idea?

Hi Guys,

i want to inform you that we fixed the issue.

The Problem was that the Lifecycle Controller was not instaled, after Installing that on the Open Server the installations works without some issues.

I opened a Case at TAC, they will write a SK for that. If I got the number  I will share it.

Many Thanks for your help

Did you check with HW Compatibility List that Onboard Network Controller and Mass Storage Device are supported ?

Are you doing Clean install or Upgrade?

we did a clean install.

We tried to mount the ISO via USB-Stick and via Virtual Disk. NO Success

We tried it with a ISO File from R80.30 (3.10) without success,too.

Now the costumer is checking the hardware with the Vendor. I will keep you up to date.

@Alexander_Schuh ,

R80.40 Gateway on Open Servers is supported only starting R80.40 JHF Take 25 and later using a blink image and not the ISO image.

Please see more information in R80.40 JHF sk165456

This is a freshly installed open server.  I can not found somethink for mounting the Blink Image.

@Alexander_Schuh ,

Indeed having the blink image requires Gaia OS installed first.

install this Open Server with any Gaia version (R80.30 for example) and then you will be able to use the R80.40 blink image.
