New Lithium Ranks
Hello,
I would like to know what are new Ranks within new platform. I tried to search for it, but I have found only general info provided within New Ranks and Badges Coming in Migration to Lithium.
What exactly is needed in order to level up ? How many Kudos/replies/new posts have to be fulfilled ?
Thank you for the list and criteria for each of them.

It's probably a good idea to do a specific post on it now that we've migrated 😁
As with any community, ranks or levels are based on community activity. In our previous community, the levels were pretty obvious (e.g. Level 5) and you had a known point total. It was pretty easy to work out what activities increased your points, thus increase your level.
In Lithium, we had to come up with actual rank names. We decided to use precious metals and stones as the rank names for this. Also, what increases your level is now more opaque as there are no clear "point total" as before. That said, similar principles apply--the more active you are in the community, the higher the rank you will achieve.
In general, ranks for active users are currently based on the following criteria:
- Length of time you've been a member
- Posts you make to the community (origination of and replies to)
- Kudos you have given and received
- Number of "accepted solutions" you have received
- Tags you apply to posts
There are also "passive" ranks for people who do not actively post on the community. These are based on:
- Length of time you've been a member
- Message views
- Kudos given
- Tags you apply to posts
We will not reveal the exact formula for achieving a given rank. The ranking formula is also subject to change.
Active Ranks
- Ivory (Level 1)
- Iron
- Nickel
- Copper
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Platinum
- Opal
- Jade
- Pearl
- Ruby
- Sapphire
- Emerald
- Diamond (Level 15)
Passive Ranks
- New Member!
- Onlooker
- Bystander
- Beholder
- Spectator
- Bookworm
Ranks Post-Migration
As part of the migration from the previous platform, your previous activities were factored into the rank you received on the current community. Due to differences in how activities are tracked (or not) as well as the ranking formulas, you may be a rank higher or lower than you were previously. A few people got a significantly lower rank, which we manually adjusted.
Exclusions
The above ranks will not apply to:
- Employees, who have a different ranking tier.
- Admins and Moderators, who have a rank based on their specific role.
