How to install/set up Security gateway & Management Server?
Hi,
I have downloaded the ISO file for R77.30. I am using VMware to setup setup both Gateway and Server. But i dont know how to setup the IP addresses during the installation. One time somehow i managed to go to first time setup wizard, but struck on one screen, next button does not let me move forward. Attached screenshot for reference.
So please help me out, how to setup/give IP addresses and gateway setting during the VMware creation and during setup.

Is there a specific reason you're using R77.30 and not R80.x?
In any case, the issue is most likely related to a bug with initializing the Internal CA in R77.30 and earlier.

So, should i use R80.x version. Also pleaee guide me how to set up ip
address and gateway for those gateway and server machines.

hi, thanks. I got both of them installed. But now when i try to log in using smart console, i am getting this error when try to login.
Attached is the screenshot. Also is there any way to change the login for the server.

This particular issue with R77.30 running in VMware happened since the availability of a new R77.30 build with the SHA-256 patches (see https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solut... for background information). You need to configure a harddisk of at least 80Gb to get past that screen in First Time Configuration Wizard. That’s how I was able to fix it back then.
