Is there any estimate when we can expect a new GA take for R80.20?
Take 47 has been around for a looong time now...
We really need a few of the fixes in T73, but are hesitant to go down the ongoing-take path...
Take 87 is planned to move to GA early next week
Afaik from CP Engineers, it had been planned to make JT 80 GA - but the important fixes in JT 87 have changed the situation completely ! See the line:
| PRJ-2374 | Gaia OS | CVE-2019-11477, CVE-2019-11478 & CVE-2019-11479: TCP SACK PANIC - Linux Kernel vulnerabilities. Refer to sk156192. |
Makes sense.
Although it would be prudent to have a GA fix for TCP SACK mitigation pretty soon.
I will try to procrastinate the issue and hope a GA release will come in the near future.
This i think is the reason - JT 80 without this TCP SACK mitigation HF included would be a bad GA version - so our next hope for Jumbo GA is JT 87 😉
Does anybody know the procedure for "blessing" a Jumbo/Take? (Making it GA)
Is it only internal testing and QA, or are they waiting for a set number of customers to install/test it?
We see that all production environments are - at least a little - different, so a Jumbo HF with the title GA needs a broad installation base over a longer time as well as continued internal testing. "Very stable" seems more a feeling evolving over time 😊
Any Ongoing Jumbo Take can be history after one bug report, look here:
| R80.20 Jumbo HotFix - Ongoing Take 74 (14 Apr 2019)😀 | ||
| PMTR-36350, PRJ-503 |
General | Alignment to Mail Transfer Agent Engine Update. Refer to sk123174. |
| R80.20 Jumbo HotFix - Ongoing Take 73 (08 Apr 2019) | ||
| PMTR-31335 | General | |
Maybe @Yifat_Chen can share some information.

Great news!
Thank you for sharing the info.
any word on a new Jumbo Take for R80.10 which will include the TCP SACK fix ? I'd prefer to fix this as part of a jumbo update than apply a hotfix.
