CPU Fan high rpm

Hi,

I've got a small 2200 appliance which returns from (not constantly) from sensor a high rpm speed on CPU Fan (10546rpm). Usually is at 5273 rpm.

Anyone knows the reason ? May be something on the hardware side ? Dust, heavy things placed on the appliance, etc. ?

Thank you!

Re: CPU Fan high rpm

Based on what you posted there doesn't seem to be any reason the CPU fan would be running that fast, assuming that the reported RPM value is correct.  What code level and jumbo HFA are you running?  I know there were quite a few fixes awhile back for incorrect/missing sensor readings, especially on open hardware.

That being said, can't hurt to grab a can of compressed air and give every opening on your 2200 a good blast to clear any dust out.
