[Beta testers wanted] A mobile-first CCSA R82 study app — practice questions + explanations

Hi CheckMates 👋

I'm Henrique, a Brazilian IT/security professional (and part-time instructor).

Like many of you, I've been preparing for the CCSA R82, and I kept hitting the same wall: almost all study happens sitting in front of a PC. So I built the thing I wished I'd had — a mobile app to train for the exam straight from your phone, anywhere: on the commute, on a break, standing in line for coffee. That "study without being chained to a PC" is the whole point of it.

First, to be crystal clear about what this is NOT: it is not a brain dump. There are no leaked or real exam questions. These are original practice questions written to reinforce the CCSA R82 objectives — and the part I care about most: every question comes with a detailed explanation and the relevant reference topics, so you learn the "why" instead of memorizing an answer.

What's in the first version:
• ~90 practice questions across the CCSA R82 domains (Identity Awareness, Access Control & Policy Layers, Threat Prevention, HTTPS Inspection, Gaia/CLI, SmartConsole & administration, logging & monitoring, and more)
• Study mode — instant feedback + full explanation after each question
• Mock exam mode — mirrors the real format (100 questions, 90 minutes, 70% to pass) with a score breakdown by domain
• Spaced repetition — automatically brings back the questions you missed, at the right time
• Progress tracking — your readiness against the 70% cut, and which domains still need work
• Works fully offline once loaded, and it's 100% mobile

On language: the questions are in English (the exam language), and the explanations are available in both English and Brazilian Portuguese — the PT-BR explanations are a first, and my little nod to the Brazilian/LATAM Check Point community. You can switch anytime.

Full disclosure: this is an independent, unofficial community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Check Point. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

I'm now putting together a small beta group — Android first (via Google Play closed testing), with iOS/TestFlight right after. If you're studying for the CCSA, or just want to kick the tires and share honest feedback, drop a comment or send me a DM and I'll add you to the list.

If you are interested in the initiative and would like to join the testing group, send an email to [email protected]

Feedback from this community would mean a lot. Thanks for reading! 🙏
— Henrique
