Hi,
Doing some cleanup after previous upgrades from R77.x to R80.x
I have two services CPD_amon and CPD_amon_ (with underscore).
When trying to delete CPD_amon_ I get this:
Followed by this when I click "Where Used...":
So how can I find where it's being used?
Try to tick "Show indirect usage in policies"
I have tried that. Doesn't show anything.
Hi Jerry,
I don't dare to delete it before finding out where it's being used. What API command can I run to find that out?
I just had the same issue. It turned out the object I was trying to delete (custom Application/Site list) was being used in HTTPS inspection rule.
I found where it was being used by using the where-used API command.
https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/latest/APIs/index.html#cli/where-used~v1%20
I had no luck there either @Josh_B
Try to install the database.
Are you using management HA ? Maybe from second management, the service can be deleted?
Are you using the latest build of SmartConsole ? The latest jumbo is installed ? R80.10 or R80.20 ?
Service with underscore was already present on R77.30 ? AFAIK, the underscore character is added to some objects during upgrade from R77.30 to R80.x.
I have tried to install the database.
No managment HA. Latest build of SmartConsole installed.
The underscore was added after upgrade from R77.30 to R80.x
Unable to delete it still. I tried to search for the other CPD_amon (without underscore at the end) and it was just found in a VPN community. Not the CPD_amon_
I tried to add the CPD_amon_ instead of CPD_amon on that VPN community and then use where used and then it shows. Then I removed it and tried to delete but still no luck.
Can you do some modification on that object ? Change name, change port, change description? Is that possible ?
I changed the name and port. Did also an install of policy after publishing. Still not able to see where it's used or able to delete it.
Well, in this case, a TAC case is a must...
