SMS R81.20 Take 127 Hotfix Verification Error : No space available

Hi all,

We tried to install R81.20 JHF Take 158 on a Security Management Server, and we faced verification error, that there is not enough disk space under /opt/CPda/backup.

We have 4.4G disk space, and 6.2G is needed.

On community we found a suggestion to remove hotfixes from /opt/CPda/backup, and to keep only latest installed, but that frees up only 1.2G which still is not enough.

We have found out also that under lv_current (show system lvm overview), we have disk size 32GB and 29GB used.

We are wondering if solution is to find another large files to remove from /opt/ or extend lvm_current to at least 1 or 2GB more of unused space.

did you check which files/directories in /opt are consuming more disk space?

The opt folder is part of the root partition, which encompasses a lot more than just itself. A common place to find large files you don't need is in the /home/ folders.

In future I recommend you specify a larger root partition when building management servers. If this is a VM, the cleanest way to fix this long term would be to do a migration style upgrade to R82, ensuring you specify a larger root partition when building the new VM.

Hi all,

I actually managed to free enough space. After removing not needed hotfix folders from /opt/CPda/backup and leaving only latest (Take 127), I have found that folder /opt/CPInstLog/DIlogs takes arround 800MB, which had one large rotated log file DeploymentAgent.log.1, and a lot of da_installer_YYYY-MM-DD.log files from last three years.

We will keep in mind to specify root partition larger when we do system upgrade.

Is this a VM or virtual system you can add a disk?
