Migration tool R77.20 to R80.10

Hi, i have a sms in R,7720. In order to upgrade to R80.10, i understand that i have to download the pre-migration tools R80, right? Not R77,20. And launch the pre-upgrade verifier,right?

Im not sure if i should install migration tools R77,20 or premigration R80.

The migration tools you download should be for the target version.

Which, in the case you state above, is R80.10.

Though, if you don't mind me asking, why not just go to R80.20, which is now the generally recommended release for all?
