Endpoint VPN client Continuously Connecting to VPN Gateway While on trusted Office Network

We have configured the Check Point Endpoint VPN for manual connect(Always Connect is disabled).

When the Endpoint VPN client is on the corporate network, the VPN is disconnected. However, the logs show continuous HTTPS traffic to the VPN gateway URL.

The Endpoint Security client generates approximately 4 https requests to the VPN gateway every 5 seconds .

Is this expected behaviour? If so, what is the purpose of these HTTPS requests? Is there a way to reduce the frequency of this traffic?

Are you working with Location Awareness?

Network location awareness is set to NO

It could be due to location awareness misconfiguration.  The client does not match the internal network definitions configured on the gateway. If your internal network subnet, DNS server, or gateway IP range is missing from the Location Awareness rules, the client assumes it is "outside" the corporate perimeter
