Disable expert mode audit log/notification nagware/adware

With reference to sk181230 and the following FAQ lines:

7. Can I permanently disable the pop-up from being displayed?

Not for now. We encourage our customers to strengthen their security.

I should not need to be spammed every month (the longest it will let you pause the popups). We monitor our systems carefully, and we have no desire to use the Infinity Portal. In some environments there is no direct Internet connection.

Is there a section in the product license that says "You agree that we can nag you about things and you can't disable that nagging"?

This is nagware/adware - please get rid of it.

I tried it but I only have a user.config in

%APPDATA%\Check Point\R82\SmartConsole\UserSettings

And I don't have an expertModePopupRemindDate inside user.config. Is this the wrong file?

I would also be happy if Check Point can remove the spam from SmartConsole....

There are actually numerous user.config files.
The findstr command mentioned in my post will find the correct one(s) to modify.
I confirmed this on a system that has R82 SmartConsole installed (among other versions).

hi,

this solution does not work on a WTS when you do not have admin privileges.

So, still the question why this nagware /adware is required for existing customers.

Still this popup appears on every domain on a MDSM with every login.

b.t.w. RFE did not help, never got any feedback.
