Hi Experts
i am here for my Issue to install new RMA 4800 Box (with r77.30 Gaia) in Cluster config network (1 Mgmt server 2 Cluster member G/w)
I only have Local backup of my Gateway,
Preparing for below action to taken
1. Install ISOmorphic on laptop and create boot able Image / or try to install with LOM interface.
2. after successful installation, established SIC, Routing, use clusterXL_admin down -p,
3.Check Status on Smart-Monitor. after showing OK go and push the policy on new box.
4. Use command clusterXL_admin up -p, new RMA box.
i need your help on-
1.Disk partition, CoreXl configuration, and another action to be taken care.
2. currently i am getting R80X installed on RMA box. is there any issue with this.
3. Can i take backup from secondary device and revert it on new RMA box ?
Help is much appreciated , thanks in advance. if required i can share lvm_manager output also
With a ClusterXL only the following is important:
1) Same CoreXL number
2) Same GAIA version
3) Same OS version 32 or 64 bit
4) Same CCP version ( broadcast ort multicast)
An advantage:
1) Time correctly set
2) License correctly imported
2) Last jhf installed
I would do it differently.
1) Export the GAIA gw config:
> save configuration gw2.txt
2) Download the gw2.txt file via winscp
3) Edit the hostname andIP addresses
4) Install a new gateway on the RMA appliance
5) Import the edited file of the other gateway
> load configuration gw2_edit.txt
6) Creat a new SIC
7) Install the policy
Should i have to worried for disk partition miss-match on both cluster ?
No, that's not a problem!

Can you please confirm where i can check CoreXL number on current box and set it to new hardware
My current box is running with below details
Gaia R77.30
OS edition 32-bit
OS kernel version 2.6.18-92cp
OS build 5
License correctly imported- how can i check this on box
JHF- we don't installed any JFH on our this box
i have downloaded R77.30 Gaia OS from CP site for fresh installation. here i also know
to change OS edition we use --- command set edition 64-bit
& cphaconf set_ccp broadcast/multicast- for changing its behavior.
.
waiting for your response.
