Endpoint client browser future support

Hi.

We have a customer that is using the brave browser on some machines and is also running the Endpoint client (E84.30).

The browser isn't obviously supported so no documents that are downloaded will be scanned.

Is there any plans to support this browser? not sure if this is the right place to ask this or should i rather raise a feature request?

Hi,

Supporting the "brave" browser is currently not on our roadmap.
Please open an RFE for that.

Please keep in mind that if the customer has SBA installed, even though the file will not be inspected while downloading it, it will be inspected later on when its written to the disk.

It's not as secured as checking it prior to the download, but still - it provides some protection.

As I understand it, Brave is just Chrome, so the plugin itself should work.
What probably doesn’t work is the bits where we can force the plug-in to be in use in the browser.
Formal support definitely requires an RFE and I would consult with your local Check Point office.
