EPpatch.msi install without reboot?

Hi Checkmates,

We have a number of legacy desktops that have Endpoint E80.96 and we have to push out the EPpatch.msi before we can upgrade them to E85.10. However the patch is forcing a reboot, so as the patch is being pushed out via SCCM with the /silent switch, the end user just sees the device reboot out of nowhere. Passing the /norestart or REBOOT= ReallySurpress options does not seem to alter this behavior.

So just wondering if anyone has pushed out the patch via SCCM/GPO without it rebooting the end device and if so how was it done?

Thanks!

Possible this reboot may be unavoidable.

That is true, reboot is not mandatory and should not occur.

Please make sure you are using the latest version of EPpatch.msi

If you have any issues, feel free to send PM.
