Hi, as of today, one by one our Endpoint vpn clients started being disconnected with the message "Connectivity with the VPN Service is lost". Looking at the event log, it shows an entry roughly every second saying "The Check Point Endpoint Security VPN service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this x time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: Restart the service." Log name: System, Event ID 7031.
No windows updates or any other software updates were observed.
Things we've tried:
- disabling and re-enabling + uninstalling and reinstalling the VPN adapter
- restarting the Checkpoint "Check Point Endpoint Client Watchdog" (EPWD) and the "Check Point Endpoint Security VPN" (TracSrvWrapper) services
- Uninstallling the VPN adapter, uninstall the software, then reboot, and reinstall the software. Same error.
Several reboots have been done in a variety of ways combining the above steps in different orders. No change.
Also found EPPatch.msi (v 1.0.17) and ran that. No change.
Please help, our employees can't use the VPN anymore at the moment.
