Here is the monthly update on the new and exciting releases for January 2025!

What's new in CloudGuard WAF this month?

1. Exciting New Additions to CloudGuard WAF as a Service
   • New Point of Presence (PoP) in Milan, Italy! 🌍 We’re enhancing performance with a new PoP in Milan, ensuring faster and more reliable service for your web applications and APIs in this region.
   • Root Domain Support Now Available by Default! Manage up to 24 root domains effortlessly with our basic license.
     
     
2. Enhanced Istio Application Security
   • CloudGuard WAF for Istio is now deployed using a Helm chart with a namespace-level webhook. This monitors changes to the Istio IngressGateway deployment, automatically adding the necessary agent and attachment. 
     Follow standard practices for setting up gateway and virtual service resources to expose your applications.

3. Stay Updated with Email Notifications
   • New Notification Trigger: Configure email notifications for various actions such as agent connection/disconnection, urgent notifications, certificate issues, or upstream issues. 
     Set your preferred interval (e.g., every 2 hours) and receive timely updates. Notifications can be sent to all admins, all users, or a custom email list. More details in our documentation.

4. Introducing the New Terraform Provider
   • Aligned with MGMT v1 API: Our new Terraform Provider ensures compatibility and stability with the latest MGMT v1 API specifications.
   • Simplified Mutual TLS (mTLS) Configuration: Easily configure mTLS by adding a single struct to an Asset, automatically translated into the appropriate proxy settings. More information is available on GitHub and the Terraform registry.

5. Revamped Support Pages with Updated Information
   • What’s New Page: Stay informed with monthly updates on product features and releases. Browse the history of updates at your convenience.
   • Platforms Page: Find an updated list of all supported platforms for all deployments, with a search option for easy navigation.
   • Limitations Page: Formerly known as Known Issues, this page now shows current limitations by deployment type, with a search option for quick access.
   • FAQ Page: Updated with additional information and answers to frequently asked questions, now with a search feature.
