HW support for kubernetes nano agent
Halo community,
is it possible to get kubernetes nano agent working on cluster running on top of other HW that amd64? Either officially on unofficialy/unsupported...
My main point is whether I can run it on k8s running on arm64 HW or not.
Thanks,

Hi,
Apologize for my previous thoughtless answer.
The cp-alpine is being built for X86 only.
build it to other architectures will take time for research.
I can talk with the relevant R&D owners and ask them to develop support for other architectures, but I would need a business case.
if it's relevant please drop me a private message.
Thank you

I do not think the HW is important - see https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Application-Security/Demo-for-Helm-Chart-with-CloudGuard-AppSec/... and https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Application-Security/Deploying-WAAP-with-Helm/td-p/106767?attach...

That is correct, the underline HW is irrelevant.

Hi, thanks for response.
As I read through the documentation I found this in AppSec Solution Brief :
CPUs: X86 (64bit)
same thing is mentioned also in presales technical training materials. What is this CPUs definition about then?
Thanks

I would suggest to either just test it in your kubernetes environment or open an informational SR# with TAC.

Hi Shay,
thanks for your answer. In the meantime I've got into contact with R&D via our local guys. I can confirm your info. There's no ARM64 version for now, but is planned. I have no confirmed date yet.
Have a nice day
