I am looking at managing cloud instances in AWS using Smart-1 Cloud. From what i have read in the known limitations for Smart-1 it says auto scaling deployments must be managed via their public addresses. By this i am assuming there is no way to hide the gateways behind NAT and deploy without public addresses whilst being managed by Smart-1.

You can hide the gateways, but they need to be accessible with a public IP for management purposes also (as I understand it).
