🚀 Introducing Cloud Firewall (CGNS) Azure Extended Zones and AWS Local Zones support

Hi everyone,

We’re excited to announce that Cloud Firewall now supports Azure Extended Zones and AWS Local Zones, further extending our security coverage to edge and low‑latency cloud environments.

More Details

Cloud Firewall can now be deployed and operated in:

  •                      Azure Extended Zones – enabling security enforcement closer to on‑premises and edge workloads.
  •                      AWS Local Zones – extending CloudGuard protection to AWS-managed infrastructure in metropolitan areas.

🙌This enhancement allows customers to maintain a consistent cloud security posture while meeting latency, data residency, and local processing requirements.

Why This Matters

With support for Extended and Local Zones, customers can now:

  •                      Secure workloads deployed closer to end users and edge locations
  • Apply the same CloudGuard policies, inspection, and threat prevention used in standard cloud regions
  • Support hybrid, edge, and regulated use cases without compromising on security or operational consistency

Supported Capabilities

  •                      Native integration with cloud networking constructs in Azure and AWS
  • Centralized management via existing Cloud Firewall workflows
  • Seamless operation alongside public region deployments

Availability

Support for Azure Extended Zones and AWS Local Zones is available starting with the latest Cloud images and integrations. Additional documentation and deployment guidance will be published separately.
