I want to automatically delete users (administrators) from the Smartconsole "Manage & Settings" -> "Permissions & Administrators" -> Administrators.
I know i can use a script with mgmt-cli delete administrator uid "username".
Now my Question is if there are any wildcards which could cause problems?
for example: mgmt-cli delete administrator uid * -> would the * be interpreted as everything and all my administrators will be deleted?
Regards
Tom
Hi Tom,
What is the scenario you are trying to achieve? I can't imagine that you would want to remove all administrators from the system.
Regards
Mark
The Idea was to give specific People the possibility to manage Administrators via script so they don't need to log in with an Account (we only have 1 account which can create users and access is restricted and logged) which has the rights to create users to smart console every time. i just want to make sure no wrong Special character can create an unwanted scenario. like use a * to remove everyone.
Pretty sure wildcards aren't supported in this context.
