Monitoring a device doing API Call

Is it possible to do an API call to get the status of a device on CheckPoint? If it is possible what URL can I use to send a request?

For example, Device A has an IP: 192.134.23.100    

Can I send a request to Device A and get a response back using python?

With Python many things are possible (including SSH).
