How to Retrieve Rule Base Information in Checkpoint 1500 Firewall Device Using REST API?

Hi,

I am currently working with a Checkpoint 1500 firewall device and need to retrieve rule base information using the REST API. I'm looking for guidance on how to accomplish this and would appreciate any assistance or documentation you can provide.

Does the Checkpoint Management API work with the embedded Gaia OS in the 1500 series?

If you could share the REST API documentation or provide step-by-step instructions on how to achieve this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Thanks & Regards,
M.Veeraselvam.

Should be possible, at least if centrally managed by SMS. You can read them like GAiA GWs. See https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/latest/api_reference/index.html. You can not create or modify them, though: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/SMB-Gateways-Spark/API-support-for-SMB-appliances/m-p/23717#M977

If centrally managed with Smart-1 (Cloud), yes, through the Management API.
If the SMB device is standalone, the API support is quite limited and requires the most recent firmware (R81.10.xx): https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/SMB_R81.10.X/AdminGuides_Locally_Managed/EN/Content/Topics/REST...
Nothing to directly read the policy, though I suppose that can be done via clish commands, which can be issued via Rest API.
