Is R82.10 marked as recommended in CPUSE ?

Not yet as R82.10 has not yet been declared as Recommended. We recently released our first Recommend JHF for R82.10 (Take 24), which usually is a prerequisite for being declared Recommended.

Several userspace binaries were updated as part of R82.10 (OopenSSH, OpenSSL), but others have not.

Does that mean that kernel mode is gone and you have to migrate to user mode on R82.10 upgrade?

Yes, only UPPAK is supported from R82.10.

What is the CPU impact of the newer encryption algorithms?

PQC will impact performance of key exchanges but not really mainline encryption/decryption, so setting short lifetimes (<60 minutes) could hurt performance.

Are there OS benefits for performance speed for older but still supported hardware 3800, 6400 etc?

Having both USFW and UPPAK eliminates the penalty for crossing the Linux kernel/userspace barrier and has shown some improvement in performance.

Is this R82.10 version supported for IAS at Azure, AWS and GCP?

Yes

Will ISP-Redundancy remain long-term. I use it for Non-VPN-functions to integrate multiple ISPs.

No plans to remove ISP Redundancy.

Do you advise to update from R81.20 to R82.10 ? or we should do R82 at first?

You can upgrade directly to R82.10.

Google as IDP for Indentity Awareness?

Identity and Trust supports using Google Workspace as an IdP, which integrates with Identity Awareness on Check Point Firewalls.

Does R82.10 integrate directly into Entra or is this done through Infinity Portal?

Can be done either directly or via Identity and Trust in the Check Point Portal.

Will R82.10 new defaults (like log aggregation) changed with an upgrade (i.e. inline or migrate_server script) or only applied for new installs?

Only new installs.

How does log aggregation work when you send your logs to a SIEM?

Updated log entries are sent to the SIEM every 10 minutes for Aggregated Logs.

Is there a MDS view available in Web SmartConsole, like in SmartConsole in MDS?

Not currently. @Tomer_Noy maybe something to consider for the future.

How about SmartConsole Extensions in Web SmartConsole?

Not currently.
