New Capability for ONP: Anti-Phishing

SandBlast Mobile’s On-device Network Protection prevents phishing attacks on any email or messaging app by instantly detecting and blocking malicious URLs on-click no matter how the URL was delivered.

The Anti-Phishing capability is powered by ThreatCloud™, the industry’s largest collaborative network and knowledge base that delivers real-time, dynamic security intelligence.


Enabling Anti-Phishing

  1. Navigate to Settings > Policy Settings > On-device Network Protection.
  2. Under "Block connections to phishing & malicious sites" section, ensure that "Phishing" is enabled.


Anti-Phishing In Action

User Experience

The user experience is similar on iOS and Android.

  1. The user will be presented with a blocked page as shown below, and an in-app notification.
  2. When viewing the SandBlast Mobile Protect app, the user will see that they have had a security event.
  3. Tapping on the event circle, the user will see a tile explaining the event. The user can tap "Dismiss" to clear the event.

  1. Navigating to Events & Alerts, the Administrator can see the On-device Network Protection event.
