@Jason_Tugwell

Tug, quick question. If someone passes one of these exams till Sept. 30/2023, does one qualify for 3 month extension? I ask, as I got that when I passes CCTE back in March.

Cheers,

Andy

Hey Andy

No 3-month extension promo at this time.  But we may try it again later this year.

Thanks

If I have CCSA R80, can I renew to CCSE R81.20 or do I ask for the opposite case? For example, if I have CCSA R81.20, can I renew to CCSE R80?

@3du We only have R81 CCSA/CCSE exams as the R80 CCSA/CCSE have been retired.

However, an R80/R81 CCSA qualifies as the prerequisite to the R81.20 CCSE.

Jason

Likewise, for CCSM R80, what paths do I have for CCSM R81? Or do I just do the whatever current -version ISA exams and earn the extensions (towards CCSM Elite)?  (Such as CCTA/CCTE, and CCCS/CNSE)

Thanks.

There is no later CCSM exam.

The existing FAQ should otherwise cover your scenario?

So I shouldn't be concerned about any specific version and instead maintain active status by passing various concentration exams?

If the CCSM is valid sit ISA exams per the FAQ.

Yep, it's valid,  I just wanted to be sure I was meeting any particular version requirements.

Hi,

I have a CCSA R80 about to expire, and I'm looking to do a CCSE exam before the CCSA expires.

I'm just wondering which CCSE exam to book. In Pearson Vue I have two options:

156-315.81 - Check Point Certified Security Expert R81 (CCSE)
156-315.81.20 - Check Point Certified Security Expert - R81.20 (CCSE)

I did the CCSE course a while back when the R81.10 was new, but the exam was not available to book at that point.
I haven't trained or read the R81.20 material, I have solely focused on the R81.10 material I received by attending the course and lab'ing.

I just want to make sure that I don't book an exam that won't give me the actual CCSE certification.

Will I earn the CCSE certification if I pass the 156-315.81, or do I need to pass the 156-315.81.20 in order to earn the certification?
