Hi All,
We have a Check Point R81.10 Security Gateway that sends a daily IPS report. On some of the protections, the names contain invalid characters. I thought these protection names were taken from Check Point itself. Why are the names displaying invalid characters, and how can I identify the protections for further analysis?
FYI I have attached some of the protection names with invalid characters.
Thanks
What jumbo take are you running on relevant gateway and mgmt? I think have seen this bug somewhere let me verify
The security gateway is on JHF 139 and The SMS is on JHF 169.
You have same issue in smarview web? And if you export to csv? Checked open bugs not able to find something or any related sk
Yes, it still displays the same invalid characters for the protection name when I exported to CSV.
Maybe it is worth updating the sms. Is not a lot of work. The bug list is long maybe missed something.
how are the firewalls running? From what I recall take 139 is not the best
Where do you define the report?
Under the Smart Console Logs @ Monitor-->Reports-->Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and scheduled the report to send on daily basis.
Is it OK when you run the report manually?
It Shows the same as the scheduled report.
I will try to reproduce internally and move to relevant R&D owner
