Probably a silly question, but are SmartConsole Extensions such as Change Report supported on non-Windows versions of SmartConsole or Smart-1 Cloud and MaaS?
If they are supported at all, I do not see why not.
From Danny's presentation, I got the notion that they are hosted on external web servers anyway and the SmartConsole serves as a kind-of proxy execution environment with authentication baked-in.
Right. Even Smart-1 Cloud uses a Windows version of SmartConsole and just puts the GUI interface on the web to make it appear as a web version. So SmartConsole Extension do work on every version higher than R80.20 of SmartConsole. In regards to support, Check Point's own SmartConsole Extensions are officially supported by their SmartConsole Extensions team.
Yes, you can enable SmartConsole extensions on the streamed version we have in Smart-1 Cloud.
Note that the Change Report is "built-in" in R81, so you no longer need to add it as an extension.
