Is it R80.20 (which is End of Support) or R81.20?
In any case, what are the specifications on the virtual machine you attempted to install this on? (Disk space, cores, RAM)

Any behaviors to go with it or just the error message?

We solve it by entering maintenance mode , and find out in messages that this error cause by parameter parameter ccl_preserve_src_MAC  .

We remove it , reboot and works properly.

Thank you

Hello,

I just installed R80.20 on a virtual machine. At the end of the installation, everything works as expected, but once I restart the machine, I get this error message:

CKP: Loading FW-1 IPv4 Instance 0: FAILED

I am a beginner, so I am not able to apply your advice. If you could detail the steps to solve my problem, I would be very grateful.

Thank you in advance.

R80.10 is even more End of Support.
In any case, this does not meet the minimum requirements, which explains why this is failing.
We offer a video that explains how to install an entire environment in VirtualBox: https://community.checkpoint.com/t5/Member-Exclusive-Content/How-to-Learn-Check-Point-Quantum/m-p/17...

You need to have at least 8 GB RAM for normal work. Also, Why are you trying to install R80.10? It is an obsolete version without any support for a long time.
